This is prob a sky q for dummies question but will ask anyways

the ad is saying that for the first time you can pause in one room and pick up in another.
Is this not what the old rf2 system has been doing for years????

(I know sky dont push the rf2 thing anymore but still)

I'm open to correction but I think there are a few differences.

RF2 isn't HD so your other tv will only be basic quality.

With SKY Q you can choose from any of your other boxes to continue watching, RF2 is limited to whichever its wired to.

If you continue watching in another room, someone can enter the original room and start watching something different without effecting you.

You can also continue watching on a tablet etc....should you wish to.

I don't have SKY Q so someone else will be able to clarify more if this is correct.

At a basic level yes, but with a number of significant advantages.

With rf, the picture quality is bad SD, this allows for high quality HD.

With rf, both the TV attached to the Sky box and the second TV had to show the same channel. With this new setup, the second TV and the main TV can simultaneously watch different channels.

EDIT: beaten to it by pippip, all correct.

    Thanks guys.

So it is the same thing just better.

Better because - can have hd on 2nd tv
better because can watch different programme on main tv.

And better because as explained in both your posts.

But not really new then as advertised - just better. :-)

Our 2nd tv with the rf feed is 24inch (maybe 26) on that size would you notice a difference between sd and hd
