What's up with movie schedules and release dates?

I keep noticing this, very odd it is. Keanu and he new Purge film are supposed to be out this weekend, yet there's no listing for it anywhere.

And its always like this and its really odd. Movie's are either given trailers and or release dates for certain dates, then never released or not given the release date they said. Tango Whiskey Foxtrot for example, never got a release here in Ireland as far as I'm aware.

    What's up with that? Basically.

Agreed, I was looking forward to both The Lonely Island movie; Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping and Whiskey Tango Foxtrot and neither appeared here. Someone mentioned to me that Popstar didn't do all that well at the box office so it may be delayed for a few months.

Scannain.com are best for Irish release dates IMO..

Keanu is out this weekend (15th July), while The Purge: Election Year and Popstar are out August 26th.

But Keanu isn't shown on any release schedules for Friday. I think I saw popstar for August?

Given that Keanu died at the US box office and that Key and Peele have no real success over here it's not that strange that it would not be in cinemas. As for the Purge that was pushed back after the death of Jo Cox as they felt that releasing it so soon after would be inappropriate.

Shame as Keanu is good fun... though Popstar was better IMO.
