Sorry if this is in the wrong section, feel free to move it to a more suited forum if ye want.

Im looking to secure some 4 inch wavin pipe to a cars roof rack for storage. Ive seen it on plenty of vans, mainly plumbers vans so figured this might be the place to ask.
It wont be on permanently, just when needed.
How do i go about securing it on?
I was thinking about jubilee clips but worried that the roof rack and pipe will be perpendicular so it might put a strain on the clips, especially at 120kph on motorways.
    Any other ideas?
    Thanks.

I used to use cable ties & they never let me down.

If you have solid bars going across the vehicle you can drill a single hole in each one and fix 4" pipe clamps to the bar using 10mm threaded bar. Quite simple to do and very secure. My last van did over 100k like that and the clamps or pipe never came loose or had any DOE issues.

    Thanks for the replies.
I had thought of cable ties but if the car is left unnattended, they literally take 2 seconds to snap them off and the pipe is gone. I know nothings tied to a car is completely secure but thats too easy.
The pipe clamps look the job. Its just a cheap roof rack for a car, the bars are about an inch high but their hollow. Would that be ok?
