Aer lingus delayed baggage

    Hello.

Yesterday I was travelling from Manchester to Cork airport. None of my 5 bags arrived. I was given a tracking number but it still gives no information. The bags would have been transferred from a us airport however the problem occurred in Manchester I think because other people just travelling from Manchester to cork didn't get theirs either.

Has anyone experienced delayed baggage before and how long did it take you to get your baggage?

It all depends on where they end up and how efficient the people in that airport are at returning misdirected baggage. You'll just have to sit it out and wait, the airline will get in touch if/when they show up.

Unfortunately, this is a "how long is a piece of string" question. Your bags could still be sitting in Manchester, waiting to be loaded onto the next flight to Dublin. Or they could have been accidently loaded onto a flight to Bangkok & you'll have to wait until they are redirected from there. The airline will be in touch when they turn up. If you have to buy clothes, toiletries etc to tide you over until they do, keep your receipts, as you can claim back out of pocket expenses.
