Pregnant on Jobpath

Just found out recently that I'm almost 5 and a half months pregnant and on the jobpath scheme, will I have to inform my case worker of my pregnancy and have to keep attending meetings even though it will be very hard for me to get a job if employers know I am pregnant. I am genuinely continually looking for work but I can't see any employer taking on a pregnant woman! Anyone else experienced something similar?

    Hi Help122.

FYI New mothers on jobseekers payments are entitled to 8 weeks of maternity leave - during which time you would not be expected to be actively seeking work and your time on Jobpath would be paused. This includes 2 weeks before the baby's due date and 6 weeks after the birth.

Apart from this, you would still be expected to be actively seeking work. Your case worker is human too though and should be understanding. Jobpath is intended to be a tailored jobsearch support service so your adviser will likely work with you to create a realistic plan that suits your current circumstances.
