i'm putting a system together with a Z170 mobo and an i5 6600k with 2 x SSD and 1 x HDD - no gfx card. What's the very lowest watt PSU I could get away with, with still leaving a bit of headroom? Or what wattage would a 6600k at 4400-4500MHz draw?

It will probably draw 160-180 watts. A high quality 300 watt will give you loads of headroom.

Out of curiosity, why are you overclocking the CPU but not using a dedicated GPU?

    Some kind of HTPC?
