I'm looking for a Saorview box for an old telly. The house has an aerial, but no satellite dish. I've tried the likes of Argos and most of the electrical chains, but nobody seems to stock them any more.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to where I could find one, and also regarding brands/models, etc? Even a basic model would do me. If it's of any use, I'm based in the South Sligo/Mayo area, but I'll be heading to Galway in the next couple of weeks.

Also - if posting names of shops/brands on thread isn't allowed, please PM me.

    Many thanks.

I think the only Saorview STB around at the moment is the Walker PVR recorder, cheapest in Powercity that I can see at €85 - http://www.powercity.ie/?par=10-23-WP6500

A new range of Saorview STBs are expected to be announced soon, see the thread "Saorview Connect"

+1 on the Walker PVR recorder, originally these were over €200, these are now just €85, you can do series link and record 2 channels at once. These boxes have HDMI and Scart connections so unless your tv is really ancient like 15 years plus one of these connections should be supported.
