Clearing a judgement

    Hi all,

If a person has a judgement ( or two ) against them due to unpaid loans, they enter into a payment agreement and then a few years later pay off the debt - in order to clear the judgement how long does this process take.

I cannot seem to find much info on this - trying to get it cleared so we can get a mortgage!

It takes something like 5yrs for your ICB credit record to 'refresh' itself. So if you've got defaults, etc on it from 2015, you probably won't be in the clear for a mortgage for a few yrs. Unless you can get a bank to look beyond your mistakes (which they won't).

Have you ordered your own credit report? It costs something like 6eur and they post it out to you. That gives you access to the same info regarding your credit history as the bank will have in assessing your application.

The debt hasnt been paid in full yet - just wondering what the result would be if it was so I imagine its still on the credit report
