Garmin Express won't download.

    Hi all So I bought a 2015 Garmin sat nav yesterday, it includes free lifetime maps, So I'm trying to install the new maps now and it won't let me download the Garmin express. Thanks.

    What do you mean ... "it" won't let you download it?

    Thanks very much for the reply Alun. Basically I'm having the same problem as this video, I did try his solution. However it doesn't fix it for me either.

    That video is a bit long to watch, but it's a problem that's happened before and seems to be connected with some Microsoft components that are required for it to run. The installer tries to download them from Microsoft and fails for some reason. There was a fix that entailed downloadinga nd installing those components directly from MS and installing them manually before installing Garmin Express.     The latest version of the Garmin Express installer is v4.1.23.0 and seems to have been released quite recently, is that the one you have? Garmin have a forum with a sub-forum dedicated to Garmin Express, have you tried there? https://forums.garmin.com/forumdisplay.php?462-Garmin-Express-PC

    Hi Alun, yes, that's exactly it! I tryed downloading that MS software. How ever it didn't make a difference.

    the latest version of Garmin Express is V4..1.23.0 indeed which is the version in which my computer is failing to download. I have not tried the Garmin subforum. Howeve I have seen that thread of someone having the same problem as myself with garmin express and I thought I ask here first. I assumed I would get more advice here, however that doesn't seem to be the case. Although, I really do appreciate the help and advice you're given me. So thats very much! :)
