    Hey all,

My passport has only just expired, haven't had a chance to replace it yet. Need to travel from Cork to Manchester with Aer Lingus Regional, I can easily use my driver's licence, right? Even if it's the old paper-style one?

As long as it's a valid drivers licence yes you can use it

Yep be fine. Often use the licence when I don't fancy carrying the bulky passport.

I would imagine that an expired passport should be accepted as ID for UK travel. After all, some of the other acceptable forms of ID mentioned don't necessarily show an expiry date. Also, an expired passport is a hell of a lot more secure than the likes of a bus or student card that can be mocked up easily enough.
