    1. What is your budget? [€500-600]

    2. What will be the main purpose of the computer? [Android Studio and development work. gaming will also play a part]

    3. Do you need a copy of Windows? [Yes]

    4. Can you use any parts from an old computer? [No]

    5. Do you need a monitor? [Yes]

5a. If yes, what size do you need. [Any size under 21"]

    6. Do you need any of these peripherals? [Can sort the basics myself]

    7. Are you willing to try overclocking? [don't see it being necessary]

    8. How can you pay? [Credit Card]

    9. When are you purchasing? [In 30 days]

Thoughts on getting it all from same supplier in one go? I say this because it will likely be a company purchase and thus ex vat

I assume the budget doesn't include the monitor and peripherals?

I've bought recently and have spent 800 for a decent build without a monitor. Running perfectly.

It does not include any peripherals. I can get them separately to the budget.

That's a fairly low budget for a PC + monitor.

Does it have to be all new parts?

e.g. If you bought Xeon 1240 v2 from eBay (€120-140) & paired it with a cheap H61 motherboard, it would give you performance far above a new CPU.

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

    CPU: Intel Xeon E3-1240 V2 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor (€140.00)
Motherboard: ASRock H61M-DGS Micro ATX LGA1155 Motherboard (€49.90 @ Amazon Deutschland)
    Memory: Crucial Ballistix Sport XT 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory (€62.99 @ Amazon Deutschland)
Storage: Samsung 120GB 2.5" Solid State Drive (€53.57 @ Amazon Deutschland)
Case: BitFenix Nova ATX Mid Tower Case (€29.56 @ Amazon Deutschland)
Power Supply: be quiet! PURE POWER 9 400W 80+ Silver Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply (€60.90 @ Amazon Deutschland)
    Monitor: LG 24MP47HQ 23.8" 60Hz Monitor (€122.00 @ Amazon Deutschland)
    Total: €518.92
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

Not sure if this build helps you enough.

Respectfully, a Xeon 1240 v2 would trash an i3-6100 in compiling :pac:

Our builds were posted at the same time mine wasn't mean to be an equally powered alternative.

Have you links to Xeons that cheap? Any ones I see that cheap are in the states so will have VAT added, though I didn't view many

It is a low budget but he said it will be a company purchase so knock off 23% for the VAT which gives a budget around €740.

Still pretty low if you need a monitor and windows.
