Central Bank as a place to work/jobs

There appears to have been plenty of roles advertised on an ongoing basis in the central bank, and I’m wondering what sort of place is it to work?
My read of the place is it is effectively a public sector body in terms of culture etc? Is that the case?
On the face of it seems to have decent ‘work-life balance’ it would seem etc, and they seem very transparent on website with salary bands etc.
I know they appear to be moving to shiny new place near the docks.
Anyhow, would be interested to get the views of any ex-employees/people who may know more?
    Many thanks!

The Central Bank is a big organisation. What line of work are you interested in?

Central Bank of Ireland don't advertise on Public Jobs as far as I know, they use their own website, and Irish jobs

There are a wide variety of roles in the central bank (about 1500 staff), is there a specific area/role you're looking at?

Does the CBI take on trainee actuaries? If so at what level?

CBI have their own website and recruit directly, they don't use agencies.

    www.centralbank.ie

21 Vacancies on their Careers section today.

They will be moving staff into the new building on North Wall Quay soon

I work in CBI and I like it. I work in the IT sector and although we are kept very busy, I am happy enough.
I am not a direct employee, I came through an agency. Most dept's are now contractors.
