Griffith's Valuation on askaboutireland.ie has been down for some hours now--at least in the US. Is it down in Ireland also? Anyone know what's going on? Just when I had free time to spend on some in-depth genealogy....Thanks.

Not sure what the problem is but no access here in Ireland just now either.

It was down for a while a couple of days ago, I think Sunday or Monday, with the same 500 error but was back in action the next day.

Still down here. Clare Santry often has news about this kind of thing but nothing so far. I have mentioned here before that the site often does not work after about 9pm Eastern time in the US.

there's a basic text only version of Griffith's on the Fáilte Romhat website (John Hayes) that might help while you are waiting....

Griffith's is down again... although the rest of the AskAboutIreland site looks ok

Sorry to post in an old thread, but has anybody ever got GV to work on an iPad? Trying to get it going for my Granddad but any Safari dependent browser (i.e. all on iOS) doesn't let me interact with the form in anyway. iPad is his only internet connected device.

I haven't tried myself, but a workaround might be to get a short term subscription to Findmypast, which also has GV.

Thanks, I'll suggest that to him. He had signed up to everything at one stage and found them confusing, but maybe now he has a bit more experience it might be ok.
