I'm in my late 30's, I'm not bald but my hair is quite thin. I usually just go into the local barber and get a short back and sides because my hair gets quiet crappy and is always sticking up in the morning after just 3-4 weeks after a cut. I was wondering if I put up with it being crap for a while and grew it in for 3-6 months could a good barber like cut and sew or dilon bradshaw do something with it? I'm losing weight at the moment and a proper haircut would be nice when I meet my goal. Also would barber or hairdresser be better?

A barber can only work with what you've got so if you're thinning out I'm not so sure there's much they can do.

I've always said I'd do a Picard when the time came, and it comes closer with every year. Don't fight it; embrace it.

Have a look into hair fibres, like Toppik. Depending on your hair length and the extent of the thinning, could be a big help.

Use a volumising shampoo. There are women who have thin hair too, so maybe ask in TLL what is the best in their experience.

The barber can only cut it, he can't make it grow thicker.

Never use conditioner, so you get split ends. Double the hair.

Serious though, heading that way. Barber I gobto in town is very good. Gives a fantastic cut to suit your reclining look.
