Picked one up 2 weeks ago.
Happy with it so far.For 300 I couldnt go wrong.
One thing though...get a calibration disc. The contrast ratio is quite low on it but with a bit of calibration I have it looking really decent.

Thinking of picking up a second one for the second sitting room aswell!!!

Two 49" tvs for 600 euros..not a bad deal at all.

The powercity link says it's got 2 HDMI & 1 Scart connection. That might not be enough connections for some people for their main TV?

Digihome is a Vestel brand. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vestel

At the low end of the market you can pretty much assume all TV's are rebadged OEM kit even if it's a major brand.

Keep your eye on Amazon, they often have Hisense TVs that drop big time for a day or so, e.g. a 4K 40" last week for £250

Seems to be Walker supplied, anything I have seen or owned from them so far has been designed by a child somewhere in 1985 or before, terrible user interface, terrible remote, in general utter hardship to use or operate, similar to buying a 161 Lada saloon to impress the neighbours.

Have to disagree. Got the folks a 40" walker last year with integrated sat tuner. Installed a dish and antenna for them and I have to say it's one of the easiest remotes and UI I've seen. A single tap for saorview/FTA switching. Compared to some of the higher end sets which you'd need a degree to go between the 2. Good picture quality, sound fine. Great for the money. Plus 2yr warranty as opposed to the usual 1 on higher end sets.

Depends on your expectations of what is clearly a budget brand..

We've had two and have not been disappointed. Only thing was the sound on one of the tvs was not great but the tv had a digital out so I just bought a reasonable cheap but decent Samsung soundbar and job's a good one.

The picture clarity has always been plenty good enough for me.

If it was bought in Ireland then those manufacturer warranties mean nothing. Your consumer rights override any manufacturers warranty.

I'm aware of that. But it is a positive in my book where the manufacturer gives 2yrs when the big guns offer half that.

Simply not true in terms of their TVs. Highly exaggerated on the "utter hardship to use or operate" bit too. Don't get the get the "Lada to impress the neighbours" bit either:confused::confused:

I also do not like walker TV interface, so I guess its personal taste.

Being perfect honesty Walker are a bottom-rung brand, their TV design and interface reflects this.

A 49" tv for €299 is exactly what you'd expect it to be. Low-end, budget, bad sound, basic interface. Picture is probably pretty good. Longevity questionable, no amount of anecdotal evidence changes that.

It is exactly what it is and you get pretty much what you pay for. Whether that's a bargain really depends on the person.
