OSX Troubleshooting experience?

    Hi all

    I've been looking at some desktop support roles recently and some of them sound good but require MAC OSX troubleshooting skills. I have Zero OSX experience but am still tempted to put myself forward for the jobs as I do have the other skills required. Is this something I could blag my way through in an interview and pickup on the job or is a that a bad idea? I really wouldn't want to be staring at a MAC in front of a user wondering WTF do I do next:eek: I don't want to rule out jobs just for this one little thing. My main background is in a Windows support environment but I am interested in learning OSX support.

    Brilliant! (sorry couldn't resist).

    With Desktop Support, you might get training on the job. But it might be worth getting yourself up to speed with watching a few how-to videos or googling the most common fixes (software and hardware) for Macs.

    The nuances of modern OS's and fixes are quite similar (daily usage / adding printers / mapping drives / user account access / virus scans / etc).

    Well done for spotting that, fixed it immediately but you were too fast! Cheers for the advice :)
