Any point in getting lenovo yoga tablet power jack repaired?

As per the title. The tablet is 18 months old. The power jack started to get unstable a week after the tablet came out of warranty and now it has given up altogether.

Not sure how much it would cost to be fixed - if it can - a new tablet looks to be c.€199. Has anyone advice to offer?

Is it the 2 or Pro?

iFixit have great teardown / repair guides if you can get the part yourself.

    Thanks for the reply - it's a Yoga Tablet 8 60043 - am assuming that's 2?

Self repair is way beyond me. I'd have to pay to get a repair.

Perhaps it can charge via USB ?

    It only charges via USB.

USB port is on a daughter board, much easier to repair than a solder job. Disassembly on them would be tricky but hopefully not terrible. Id get a quote.

    Quotes between €100 & €60 with lots of caveats...may not work/cost more!!

Time to buy a new tablet sadly.
