Separation agreement

My husband and I have agreed to separate. We own a house together and share all bills in the house 50/50. We don't have any children. The only shared asset is the house so I presume this is the only thing that would go into a Separation Agreement. Is that correct?
Do we even need a Separation Agreement? I will be moving out and renting a place in another city and he will remain in the house and pay the full mortgage.
Do we have to do mediation to get a Separation Agreement?
I do not want any money from him. I just want the split to be as easy as possible for us.
    Any advice would be appreciated.

I would still get something in writing. There are other things like pensions, tax, inheritance issues to be clarified (like what happens if one of you win the lotto or if the mortgage falls into arrears) It'll be very straight forward as you're amicable
Edited to say you don't need mediation but it might help to guide you both and is generally less expensive than solicitors. Then you'll just need a solicitor to draw up the agreement
