There's very little to it and it's relatively safe. You just want to find a stretch you like the look of and a get-on with parking.

You could pick wherever would be a handy area and go on Google maps to look for the nearest lock or harbour and get on there

Naas Harbour, odlums mill, anywhere in sallins left over the bridge, digby bridge.
