Received my first learner permit for c licence today and code 991 is on it
According to the RSA website code 991 means...

Holders of Learner Permits in categories A1, A2, AM, A, W and B must wait for 6 months before taking the driving test

So WTF is it doing on a c licence learner permit

Please don't tell me its a new rule cause I have seen nothing about it

It just indicated you first licence in that category,
No 6 month rule in category C

Anyone know when applying for your test is the cpc practical booked with it
or book it separately Rsa site gives 3 options

    1 rigid test c
    2 small truck/large van c1
    3 cpc practical

Site wont allow you to pick 1 and 3 so as above once you have paid are you able to schedule both together after choosing just option 1
Cant find out until I paid and I don't want to do that without knowing for sure

You book them separately. I've just booked my test, but don't need CPC. Once you click to pay, it just gives you confirmation that you've booked it and that they'll be in touch.

    Hi

so passed my C theory test last week and applying for my learner permit this week.

so who needs CPC ?? any driver of a rigid truck doing delivery's -it that a professional driver ??

just a little confused on what a professional and non-professional truck driver would be.

    thx

CPC is required if you are driving for reward ie money

basically if your main job involves driving. if for example your a builder with a truck who does a run to collect materials in the morning for an hour and spends the rest of the day building you dont need a cpc as your not a pro driver but if your driving for a full day doing deliveries and collections you need a cpc as your main duties are driving

Anybody who has done the C test, what questions were you asked on the day? I expect I'll be ok with the driving side of things. I'm just a bit nervous about being asked something that might stump me!
