    Hi!

I am a jobseeker for some time and actively looking for job. I had several interviews lately and got some feedback from only 2. Most companies/agencies don't care to give me any kind of response, even thing like "sorry but position was filled by someone else".. I wait and wait and find out that I failed only because job post has been removed from the website. Isn't it annoying that you take your time to prepare and attend an interview, and then nobody gives a s*** to tell you if it went good or bad, if you got it or no? The worst are agencies - firstly they are very positive and they pretend that they care about you. Every time I have a meeting with any agency, they're telling me that they have plenty opportunities and jobs for me, they love my CV etc etc. They're sending me for an interview somewhere and then silence. I usually ask person who interviewed me about possible response time and they usually say that they will contact agency within certain time.. but I never get any response from agency, even negative one. I hate it! Any of you, any thoughts about it?

Same as you but i see it from both sides.

from a job seekers perspective yes it is very disheartening to apply for jobs and not get a response

from a HR perspective things are still very lean at the moment and while i accept is it very rude to not respond the time just isnt there to respond to 100 applications for each job, automated responses are just easy to do but not everyone thinks of that.

as for post interview its poor, while its horrible to make the call telling someone they didnt get the job, its worse when they ask why and you have to give them feedback its a very fine line between honest feedback and pissing someone off.

keep going, saturate the market and someone will bite.

Not many will respond with feedback even if you ask for it unless its part of their recruitment process. HR not obliged to give feedback unless its part of their recruitment process. It is annoying when they don't even acknowledge your request and just state they cannot give feedback.
It has become a common occurrence rather than saying you are unsuccessful they just don't respond after application/interview. Some do but many don't acknowledge your application. Even if they do sometimes don't reply to say you are rejected.

Sometimes is better to apply directly to companies/businesses than going through agencies.

It is frustrating, but as has been said it is a matter of resources.

Personally I give direct feedback to anyone that I interview where I know that they are not going to get the job at the end of the interview. I also give feedback to the 2-3 unsuccessful final round candidates.

Just don't have the time to engage with everyone that submits a CV.

OP it's incredibly frustrating I've seen it from a couple of sides, as a job seeker I've been told that a second interview will be confirmed shortly only to never hear from the company again despite putting calls through to interviewer, I've been told by agency that interview went well and would have a decision in 2 days but never hear anything further even after several calls.

As a recruiter I've had instances where my client stonewalls me and won't give me any feedback, I've to be careful not to push my client too far as I want to continue my relationship.

I know it's incredibly frustrating, if I get a cv in that doesn't suit I have a standard template I issue out, if someone replies asking for more of a reason I'll tell them but most people don't answer.

if I have spoken to someone I'll call them once and if they don't answer I'll leave vmail and talk to them if they call back. If someone has had an interview I'll give them whatever feedback I can but again I'll only call once if they don't pick up they get a vmail.

I know it's not ideal but there isn't enough time in the day!!!
