Getting answers

I'd like to know how people get answers or solutions to a situation that they are dealing with or perhaps praying for. I've never really felt I've gotten answers, perhaps I haven't been open enough.

I have a situation which I'm at a crossroads about. At this stage it doesn't really matter which road I take. If it's the 'wrong' road I can rectify it before it goes much further. But as I was saying my prayers tonight the wording to an email to respond to a person involved in the situation came to me which has me going down one road but I don't know if this is God telling me to go this road as my mind has a tendency to wander lately while praying.

Any advice to becoming more attuned? I really need guidance at the moment and this is something that I pray for daily.

I get answer to almost everything I ask for. God speaks to the heart through the holy spirit.

It's learning to listen to him that's the hard part.

PM me what your situation is and I can pray for you that God shows you the right way too go.

Sorry for the late reply, I hope my experience can be of some use and isn't too late.

The guidance and answer you seek has most likely been given to you. You just need to get quiet enough to be able to recognise it.
One bible I had gave a nice interpretation of Colossians 3:15 "The peace that Christ gives is to guide you in the decisions you make."
You don't need to keep asking God to guide you in this decision; once is enough. For me, it is a case of seeing which option brings a sense of peace when I consider taking it. The bad news is that it can often be the decision that you personally don't want to take.

Relax, trust God and consider your options with Him, try to allow moments of silence and stillness to pepper the time of prayer. Give Him an opportunity to communicate with you without using words. Anything but peace is not His will for you.
