What's a reasonable call out charge to repair appliances?

Our tumble dryer has stopped working and I'm trying to find someone to come out and fix it. I'm just googling companies online as I don't know anyone to do the job for me. Anyway, I've sent emails asking what their call out charges are, hoping to avoid any huge costs before work has even been done.
One person has come back with €45 call out, the other with "labour is €60, plus parts if required".
Am I missing something here, is the terminology just different for the same thing; i.e. €45 v. €60 to call out?
    Are they reasonable rates?

You should check if you can get extended warranty from the manufacturer and the price for me it was 1 year warranty unlimited call outs and parts for 140 euro. When you factor in the price of the part + labour worked out OK. Bare in mind a call out may just be call out. Some jobs can take hours to complete and I doubt 40-60 is gonna cover that.

In my case it was the drum that needed to be replaced "a pig of a job" the engineer described it as took him the guts of half a day to fix it. Broke down again later in the year and I got a free replacement.

What's actually wrong with it? Sure you can't fix it yourself?

It's a problem with the electrics, so not something we can do ourselves. Got someone out in the end anyway, so nearly sorted.
