My iphone 6 Bluetooth is very poor and needs to be beside anything it pair to such as an ipad or another phone. If we are in a wifi area my brothers phone shows the wifi available and mine doesn't. Both phones have the exact same spiegen armoured covers. Any ideas what is going on?

I have done the usual - reset settings, soft reset etc but not a full back up and restore.

WiFi and Bluetooth are on the same chip, so the fact that you having issues with both suggests possible hardware fault.

How old is the phone? Did you buy it from Apple or one of the networks?

Exact same thing happened my old iPhone 5. I changed the chip and it was grand.
