Help 1st car in Ireland.

    Hi Guys.
    I want to ask, i bought a car 1st in Ireland, 1.9 diesel 2007 year.
    And last owner wasnt pay tax from February, so when i will get Logbook i need to go for Tax office and pay my own Tax road, or i need pay last months as well?
    And what is cheep and good Insurance ..

    You wil have to pay the tax from the 1st day of what ever month you bought it in,so hopefully you only just bought it in July.

    As for insurance , shop around.

    So the date of the transfer of ownership will be yesterdays date .When you get the VLC in the post you can tax it starting the 1st of July - best of luck with the new car Edgars :)

    Hope your insurance wasn't too much! Usually a good idea to price it before you buy a car.
    Yeah, you're only liable for tax from when you got it.

    there is no such thing as cheap insurance companies, they all have different variables that come into account
    1.9 and 2007 wont be cheap, my advice would be to shop around online and whatever the cheapest quote is, say 123 ring them and say liberty offered it to you for 20% less and you really like their company can they do anything for you
