It gives Kovu and myself a holiday great pleasure to let slip announce the shanghaiing volunteering of Buford T. Justice V to act as our new moderator.

With his interest in dairying, and mind like a steel trap, he will enforce our tough new 'one strike and your out (cold)' policy in dairy threads. Already infamous recognised for his brutal interrogation techniques persuasive ability in 'the Outhouse' he has promised to bring a taste of Wild West law enforcement to the Rebel and Kingdom nether regions of the Irish Dairying heartland.

As an example of his enthusiasm dedication he has turned down the legendary moderator's ban hammer, forged in the mountains of Asgard by descendants of Thor himself, in favour of a wooden mallet. He reckons he can more hits in that way.......... and I'm NOT going to argue with him ....... since the last time he..............demonstrated his abilities.

So without further ado (there's only one exaggeration in the welcome above, I'll let you all guess what it might be...):

'Welcome Buford, thanks for accepting the challenge'.

Right Kovu that's it, time for us to leave him to it. We'll toast him over an open fire few drinks in his absence.

Alright Greysides, time for us to start a thread on the benefits of veganism and then disappear for a few days!

He'd be familiar with 'all' the buttons after that one.

    Thanks, folks.

There isn't going to be any changes to the moderation of the forum hopefully, just another body on board to help out with the rest of the team.

It is a very calm forum, mostly, and a huge amount of credit has to go to the forum users for that and for the mods who steer things back on track.

I am aware that I am privileged to be asked to help out and hope I can help keep the community feel the forum has, with your help:o

You see everyone, all it takes are a few "ill advised" "sailing close to the wind" posts , often late at night after pints, and you too can avoid Bufords faith!
