Disability allowance and FET course?

    I recently started receiving disability allowance just a bit under a month ago it took a long time for me to get the courage to finally send in the application due to my anxieties about not getting it and a social worker has been insisting I do a FET course and I didn't mind the idea too much as he said it wouldn't affect the disability allowance but I read up on it and the amount of money wouldn't be affected but the DA would be suspended and I would be given an equal amount in training allowance and when the course is over I would need to reapply for the DA. I haven't been on the DA that long and I'm still waiting for arrears and this course is making me very anxious now as its is a lot more socially involved than I thought it would be and the idea of needing to reapply for the allowance is causing me to have meltdowns. Has anyone done an FET course and successfully reapplied for the DA and would doing this affect the arrears?
