Had a lovely day out with the kids. Huge event continuing tomorrow is on the same scale of the Volvo Race event. Finally got to poke around the Celtic Explorer and talk to the staff. Loads of tours we didn't get to including a tall ship in from Engalnd and the defence forces ship (is there more than one?). Lots of army vehicles the kids were welcome to clamber over. Well worth checking out.

Continuing tomorrow so anyone needing a good day out check it out. Hopefully the weather cooperates, was spectacular today.

Great day at the docks today only criticism is the so called tall ship is not a tall ship in fact it's very small but hey lovely to see it and the docks looks great, hopefully they will have it again next year and bring in a real tall ship, the Navy ship was mobbed and it looked great as did all ships in the docks, great demo by the Coastguard helicopter and Lifeboats what a service they provide, well done the organisers

Really enjoyed the Seafest. I went both days- Saturday was much quieter. 2 hour queue for navy ship on Sunday afternoon. Hope it comes back next year, must be a good boost to Galway as I'd say most visitors bought something to eat and/or shopped in city on the day.

Very well organized event I have to say. Very lucky with the weather too after all the rain we were promised.
Hopefully it will be a regular thing :)
