I did my degree in economics and german but I have no idea where to go? What kind of jobs do graduates with a degree in these fields pursue? I'm thinking of doing a masters but not sure which at this point.

Have you looked at the graduate section on publicjobs.ie,there could be paid internships available in Europe.

    go see a career/guidance councellor.

your college will have one that in general support you until 3 years after you complete your degree.

or if you can afford it go privately.

Have you thought about what you would like to do?

Like, would you have any job that you want to do for most of the rest of your life?

Maybe you just want to make loads of money?

Either way, you can plan towards what ever answer you come up with once you have a goal to work towards :)

I want a 'global' career, I love languages and I like Economics but I feel I need to improve my qualitative and quantitative skills because despite having an economics degree, the reality is most of the modules I did well in were largely theory based. I did do well in macroeconomics however.

I just feel despite my degree, I am not cut out for the business world, I feel lost. Perhaps in this day and age you really need to specialize on completing a degree to not have this feeling.

I'm looking into aviation finance(I like the idea of it, but think it would be over my head) or working in the EU(sorry Nigel)

to be honest unless its a specific degree like medicine or dentristy it means nothing in regards to getting a career

yes there are direct routes - law in general solicitor/ barrister
    arts- teacher etc etc

try out a few jobs and see if you like them, and if it helps no one is cut out for the buisness world when they gradudate everyone is ****ting themselves wondering what they did...

its normal at your age to wonder... some people get lucky and know from a young age what they want to be when the 'grow up'

    others it takes a while.

i certainly didnt want to work in HR as a 5 year old, i wanted to be an astronaut... and i love my job.

try out a few... see what fits...

Brilliant, money doesn't bother me,I just want something fulfilling that offers a good environment and something I can be passionate about.
