Hoping someone can assist thanks - my husband has moved abroad one month ago. He was employed f/t here and taxed as a single person. He is working in a new job in the UK now and completed a p50 to claim tax back. He was told by Revenue that he is not eligible for a refund of tax credits until 2017 - is this correct?
I've read their website and spoke to someone there a few weeks ago and thought it was clear he could claim tax back for this year now that he has left the country?

It depends on his residence position. Has he left Ireland permanently? If he hasn't. He must wait until the end of the tax year when his entire worldwide income for 2016 will be looked at to see if he overpaid tax during the year.
