For Health and Leisure in Tralee you do your first 2 years in general health studies, some PE theory sports psych and other modules like marketing and sports development.

You get the chane to become a qualified lifeguard, swim teacher an gym instructor. At the end of second year you choose a specialism that you will study in 3rd and 4th year (PE is one option).

There are a max of 16 places available in 3rd year PE, those with the highest results in certain modules get in.

You do two years then where you get experience teaching every stand of the PE curriculum to primary school kids and you do a placement in a local primary school each Friday during the dinal semester.

After that you apply for the PME in UL. This is now a two year course and competition is fierce since tey have now opened it up to their own sports science students as well as students from other IT's and British applicants.
