Not really much info to go on there! Any chance of a picture?

Also bear in mind that no-one here can give you any structural advice as it is against the rules. We might be able to give you some background/helpful info though. But not without some sort detail.

For example: What could you fit in this crack?

    a. A pin
    b. Tip of a screwdriver
    c. Your finger
    d. Your hand
    e. Your bicycle

Thanks for the reply, I have another viewing soon so I will take a photo then. i would appreciate any information that could be given as this is my first time buying a house. You could fit a pin in the crack, it looks like the crack on the inside has been filled previously and cracked again. The crack runs from the roof down to the ground and the concrete pathway in front seems to have shifted slightly right where the crack is

the Internet cannot carry out structural surveys

Perhaps you should find a house without cracks

Or hire a structural engineer to view the actual property and give you piece of mind.

Did you read the applicable charter here before posting.

This is your first outing in here.
You will get back in proportion to what you put in by way of useful, clear, detailed information on the house construction.

For example, what relevance to the question has the flat roof piece?
Is this a side wall, gable wall, any windows, hip roof, etc etc

    What is the wall construction
    cavity block
    solid block
    cavity wall
    etc
    what is the finish
    plaster
    dashing
    etc
