    Just wondering what's available had trouble last year with bought in hoggets lost three ewes from seven bought in .
    What do I need to do before ram

    Toxovax and/or Enzovax.

    Both are pricey and have to get vaccinated 3/4 weeks before covered by ram.

    Do you know what they died from, did they abort as well.
    Toxo doesn't usually kill them but enzootic can be dirty

    Vet was fairly sure with enzo gas from lambs poison the whole system .

    Enzo is very contagious so any ewes that was around when those ewes were lambing could be infected. Infected ewes carry it and the infection is dormant until 100 -120days in lamb and they abort then.
    Even after vaccinating you will have abortions for a few years but it will eventually burn itself out if the replacements are vaccinated.
    As i say a dirty yoke
