Google Maps gone offline

    Not sure if this is the right forum for this but...

    I've been using google maps successfully on my VSU6 for saving up to 30 addresses a day for deliveries etc but lately I am unable to save addresses
    and the message appearing is 'google maps is offline, click to retry'.
    Data roaming is enabled and I have all other internet functionality but I can't figure how to get maps back online. There is nothing in settings in maps that I can see.
    Any suggestions please?

    What happens when you try it on wi-fi as opposed to on mobile data?

    An address that I couldn't save on mobile data earlier I was just able to save on wifi.
    What does that tell me? And what can I do to remedy it while using mobile data?
