    Tesco selling these off €300 for 16gb wifi air €399 in argos
    €380 for the 16gb air2 €509 in argos roughly 25% off, good deal as you very rarely see Apple products reduced. they have about 20 on the shelf in Roscommon.

    I think apple ireland are just behind the times here. The base 16gb model is 399 in US but 449 here. Hopefully that is righted soon. I've been after a decent pdf reader forever

    Yeah a lot of people forget the sales tax. If we took off 23% on Irish prices for VAT it would work out as almost exactly the same as the American pre-sales tax prices.

    Don't forget to add the sales tax, which is just under 9% in NYC for example, and then the fact that we have a much higher VAT rate here makes apple products more expensive. Taxes aside, they are actually on par.

    off the shelf or the ipad itself? I didn't even know you could ring with a barcode to check stock.
