    Hi Riva10,

    Thank you for your query.

Irish Water are continuing to install water meters across Ireland under the Water Services Acts, 2007 - 2013.

Water meters are an important tool for providing information about household water usage. This information can help Irish Water take steps to reduce leakage both in the public distribution system and within customer properties, as per our First Fix Free Scheme. For more information, please see here.

The installation of water meters can also help customers monitor their water usage and, if they wish, implement water conservation measures to lower their consumption of water and reduce water bills.

I hope this information helps and if you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us.

    Thanks,
    Alex
