I caught the pilot of this last night. Looks pretty strong for a new show. It's about a street runner who works her way up to being head of a drug cartel in the south of the US. The opening was great and a perfect way to get into the story. There was just enough there to get you going and I'm looking forward to seeing more. It looks to be somewhat based on Scarface, even to the point where they reference the movie with a scene in the background, but long before that the big bowl of coke on the bosswoman's table at the beginning had kind of telegraphed that for me. If that's the general direction they're going then it could be really good.

Nice too to see Joaquim de Almeida who played Bucho in Desperado having a prominent role in this. Far more engaging I felt than Graceland which was the last USA drug cartel-based show. Hopefully they'll have a hit on their hands.

I am in season 2 of this now. Its very good especially if you liked Narcos and Ozark. Surprised it dosent seem to be that well known tbh

Have just finished Season 2. Its ok.
Haven't watched Narcos, but its no Ozark (IMO) - its sort of Breaking Bad meets NCIS (or any of those American big-explosions style cop shows).
If I'm being critical its a little one-dimensional insofar as its always Teresa to the rescue, other characters are little more than set-pieces and everyone seems to be enthralled by Teresa, despite her having the personality of a hoover and while she is good-looking, she's by no means stunning.
Also (very minor detail of a spoiler)
Her getting to the No 2 spot in the Vargas cartel in about 6 months is jumping the shark a bit too. The writers mean to tell me there was just an open position there....
