    Hi,
I'm doing a couple of DIY projects such as creating shelves for attic storage and boxes for kids toys. I've a few more projets in mind to create more storage space and I want to get recommendations for buying timber. So far I've been going to Woodies but I'm not now finding the sizes I need.
    Any feedback appreciated.

Do you mean real timber or sheet goods.? For general purpose shelving nothing beats a quality plywood, although blockboard is a bit cheaper and just as good.
You would reserve real timber for quality projects like a library etc. Sheetgoods are found in all the chainstores like Chadwicks etc,
