As my post suggests I am looking at buying a gi (I've decided I should try and get in some gi especially as I would be considered a bigger guy) and I was wondering if someone could point my in the right direction.

What brands would you recommend? I hear good things about Tatami.

What store to buy from? At present it may be good time to buy from a UK store?

Sizes? I am around 6'1 and can swing from 90-100kg. A3 looks to match but do gis tend to shrink much over time?

Would appreciate any advice from you guys.

What brands would you recommend? I have 3 currently, One venum which was my first and ill never buy again...shrunk hideously even with the best of care. An Irish company, which I love supporting Irish companies by the way, is wolfhound and one of the owners posts here reguraly(sp). great gi's at reasonable prices. ill try and find his user name for you.

What store to buy from? online is the only way to go, all the brands have there own websites naturally and there are some mma/bjj stores in the uk and dublin.

Sizes?more than likely A3 but some brands do middle sizes and large sizes ie A2L may fit you better than an A3
    Hope that all helps

OP you're probably new to BJJ?..

In which case I always recommend people to speak to their club coach and see what they recommend.. Esp with BJJ a coach likes to supply his students with the gear he/she has confidence in because they've trained and fought in the same gi.

Your club coach/owner will kno the pros and cons of the various Gi on the market and should be able to advise youre. similiar.
