Hi I was hoping for some guidance on how to identify this piece of artwork. The artist appears to be P Mitchell and the date appears to be 1885. Any idea where to start my research?

a bit of a long shot..... there was a Scottish artist by the name of Charles William Mitchell from around that time, his style looks similar
