Toilet and shower issues

    Have been getting a foghorn sound coming from the toilet for the past couple of weeks which keeps getting worse. Was told by a family member that a washer needs to be replaced, given washer by someone, was going to attempt fixing this.

    However, in the past few days there has been a very odd smell coming from the shower drain. Not a sewage smell, can't really tell what it is! But it's quite strong. Almost like a strong bleach smell or some sort of gas. Used a metal clothes hanger to scoop out a bit of hair. Also threw some hot water and a small bit of bleach down the drain to see if we could flush anything out. Smell is still there!

    Any idea if the toilet and shower issues could be related? We are most likely going to get a plumber out just checking to see if there is anything else we can do..
