    Why?

I`d prefer to stick with Intel, they work better with Photoshop.

No! They are talking about your GPU. You're looking at a 370 when the AMD RX 480 is coming out very shortly (the 470 also i believe). That will change market prices. Wait and observe how the market changes in the next few weeks then pick a card

You won't be using pure power but lots of VRAM, the 470 will be the cheapest 4 or 8gb card on the market which is why it's recommended.

It's just the GPU yeah, will work fine with an Intel chip

    What's your overall budget?

€912 would net you a 4-core/8-thread Xeon build

I thought Xeons were for servers and similar setups. Surely an i5 is more appropriate for a consumer photoshop machine?

They do the same job (compute stuff), the only differences are that many Xeons don't have an onboard GPU, and sometimes they require different motherboard chipsets.

Otherwise, they're basically cheaper i7 processors.

Budget is pushed to the max with my current build, €850 ish.

I had the Xeon included in a previous build, but the price and some other stuff wasn't needed, it was a while ago.

The I5 is the business for what I'm doing.

Hold off until Wednesday anyway, when RX 470 pricing is official.

Oh and switch your RAM to 1x16Gb! Will make upgrading easier.

The one stick of 16gb does bum up the price.

I`m stretching the budget too much as it is
