    Howaya,

Has anyone had good or bad experience with the Mitsubishi Outlander?

Currently looking at a new 2.2 diesel commercial. Looks good so far, test driven etc but is there anything I should know?

    Thanks folks.

    Don't dismiss Citroen C-Crosser and Peugeot 4007... It's the same car... :]

It's like marriage in Heaven ;) - build in Japan, but with high displacement French diesel... Automatic with them is a dual-clutch box - not bad again...

He said he is looking at a new Outlander. The Citroen C-Crosser and 4007 are based on the old Outlander and are no longer on sale so unless he is going to look at some secondhand ones I think that option is not there now. As for the Outlander it a very good car that is very reliable well built and solid and will still be going in 10 years unlike some of the overcomplicated German cars.

I have only one comment to that...

What MPG can one expect from the 2.2L Outlander. Just an average expectation is of what one might expect?

I'd say 40mpg could be done. They're claiming an average of 50.

The sales guy told me 62.....I just nodded and smiled :pac:

Yeah, 62 is probably the manufacturers extra-urban figure. Average would take in urban too, then scale back for reality.

Honest John claims 42.4 mpg ...

It should be a good second hand buy. Not a huge demand for them so should get one for a good price and it should still have a warranty as well. They were well specced too.
