Installing vanilla android on a Chinese phone

I'm currently in China and bought a nifty little android phone which has a Chinese OS that blocks Google and even when set to English, gives updates in Chinese Does anyone know how to install a vanilla android OS? The phone is a Koobee Halo h1 and its chip set is a Mediatek MT 6582
