    It's actually higher than I though. Around 20% but I don't have a mortgage where I live.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,735 ✭✭✭dar100

I'm at close to 30 percent with mortgage and childcare

I got a water bill of €1469, the electric motor which pumps my water had a malfunction which was not noticed and the lectricity meter had been estimated for months before that.
It is a separate ESB meter to my house meter.
So I don't want to be reminded of bills... as a% of my income, I am not sure what it is.

Roughly ⅓ on bills, ⅓ on taxes, and ⅓ on life.

Mad when you think about it in days: From Monday morning until lunchtime on Tuesday, I work for the government.

From Tuesday lunchtime, until 10am Thursday morning, I work for basic needs (food, light, shelter and heat).

For the rest of Thursday and until 4pm on Friday, I pay for all the stuff that's supposed to make life worthwhile.

Everything I spend is a bill of some sort; be it utilities, fuel, newspapers, groceries, gifts, haircuts.....

My direct debits account for about a third of my income (mortgage cleared this year). Lots of the items are treats such as Netflix, Sky, Leisure Centre etc

It's 50% of my income on bills and rent. It jumps to 60% during winter.

Having said that, it's my earning wage. I'm currently unemployed and looking for work. As a percentage of what I get on the dole it's about 150% of my earnings. If I got rent allowance it would be about 80% of my income. During winter both of those would spike again.

About 95% of my personal wages goes on bills, mortgages etc, as a couple it's down to about 35%

    1/3 into savings.
Then only have sky, esb, gas, phone/bb, Spotify, Netflix etc. Wouldn't even be half. No rent or mortgage

    About 110%.
    The rest is for beer.

Just don't pay them for a few months and have some fun instead.

Ok then. If it's just mortgage and utilities , we spend about 10% on bills.

At a rough guess, about 40% of our overall monthly income goes on mortgage, childcare, shopping and utility bills.

Guys - there is no need to dig up threads from the past from different forums to try to get a notch in the win column.

:) get over yourself dude!! I posted on one thread, a pathetic thread no less.

I would hardly call that stalking, unless you're a bit paranoid, which you seem to be!!

Bit of a self fulfilling prophecy perhaps😄😄😄😄😄

May I point out that this is my thread that your on?? Irony seems to be lost on you it seems

Wasn't aware it was an old thread apologies

40-50%, mainly mortgage which I am currently overpaying.

Its quite hard to work out exactly. There are some regular bills easy keep track of and some less regular ones (home and car insurance, tv license etc).

I thought it was less but when I worked it out certainly well above the 40% mark.

All I ask is that you stop being weird.
You overreacted because someone didn't think your thread was of any merit.
Just calm down and learn to take the hits without resorting to stalking and trying to force a reaction.

I don't actually know. I put a 1000€ aside each month, pay my bills, pension, mortgage, some smokes, drink and food and I'm left with 1200€. I don't count money anymore, it's boring.

I spent a lot of money on booze, birds and fast cars. The rest I just squandered.

Reminds me of the movie "In Time" with Justin Timberbatch.
