Hi im looking to repair my broken handle on lawnmower. It snapped at the base. Im thinking a type of clamp that i could place both ends in and tighten it round them. I can see it in my mind but dont know what its called. Failing that would an epoxy putty suffice?

Don't underestimate the forces that go through a mower handle, epoxy putty won't do at all.
I think the best solution would be to find a local guy that does welding repairs and get him to fit a sleeve over the handle and mig weld it in place.
Failing that get another handle from an old mower.
Lawnmower shops see this all the time and may have a decent solution.
