Ha, I just looked into this today after remembering it for the first time in months. Battlebots will be back on June 21st this year if anyone is wondering.

Great news about Robot Wars though, wonder if they'll get Craig Charles back? He's done with coronation Street as far as I know, probably been photographed toking on a few too many crack pipes since the old Robot Wars for the BBCs taste though :D

Didn't realise the format had travelled across the pond until I saw an episode of the Simpsons cover it recently. Great news about it coming back on the BBC. Wonder how much it will change with advances in technology?

Way more power in the batteries for one thing.

it was on comedy central back in the day and then there was new series last year, its not that different, (the US version had more talking and back stories though, hopefully BBC will do less of that)

I was surprised how little crap like that they put in the American one tbh, no previews of the fights either. The two male hosts and the female one trying to smack talk was a bit cringe though.

Who knows. The BBC have always been pretty bad at announcing in advance when shows will return - it's the type of thing we probably won't hear until a week or so before it actually starts airing.

I've split the UK posts away from the US Battle Bots thread.
