    Hey all
Flying back from beauvais airport in France to Dublin on Saturday, I have the ryanair app on my iPad and have checked in and have my boarding passes on the app, will they accept them instead of the paper format at Beauvais?
    Thanks

I would say yes, I've used my phone before. I never downloaded the app though, just opened the boarding pass pdf and scanned it.

You may not be able to. I thought you might be able to but I just had a quick look on the app store and it doesn't list the Ryanair app.

With Ryanair I wouldn't take any chances as if you can't produce a legitimate boarding pass they may send you back to the desk and hit you with a fee to print it. Its in the region of 60 euros i think.

The idea of the previous poster to scan the printable boarding pass may work on the security gates but if the gate agent or the cabin crew member takes issue you are screwed.

Have you no smartphone you can use ? Also if one of your buddies has the app he could check you in also. You can show more then one boarding pass on a phone.

    Thanks for the replies.
Well I have the actual ryanair app on the iPad, we also have it on an iPhone here as well and I've one also saved as a screenshot on my Lumia as it does not have the app, so hopefully one of them will work.

I used the Ryanair app on my ipad recently, I had boarding passes for 3 people, I took screenshots of all and used them no problem....couldn't get them to save in the wallet that's why I took screenshots.

Printed 1 off at the hotel this morning, I'll try the app anyways for future reference and at least I've the paper version for back up.

The app does work but I would advise always have a back up printed boarding pass.

I was in London last week (one day return flight). By the time I got to Gatwick for my return flight which was late, my mobile had powered off. I didn't have my booking number as I hadn't expected my phone to run out of power.

The service desk at Gatwick managed to borrow a charger for my mobile and charged it up for me then printed out my boarding pass.

    Lesson learned for me anyway.

I only use an Ipad now and as a precaution when flying Ryanair, I also like to have the printed Boarding Pass.

Can anyone be so kind and advise me as to how I can print the Boarding Pass using my Ipad in Library for example? If this isn't possible, can I use a pharmacy macine and print it off as I do with photos.

Many thanks in advance if you can help.

Best way to print is to login to Ryanair and then save the boarding cards, they normally save by default as PDF type files and should be able to be printed without any issue in the same way you would print any document.

Yeah for me I always log onto their website and find my booking, I then pick to download the boarding pass where it opens in a new window and then just print it off from there.

I've used Ryanair 8 times so far this year. Always just use the Ryanair app on iPhone but I have used iPad as well. Some of the agents show you the scanner and tell you scan yourself!

I've never had an issue going paperless Also I don't bring my actual passport, just the passport card which is the same size as a credit card. Less hassle trying to mind it on holidays. Only works in Europe

Had the app on my Galaxy Tab. At most airports it was fine but at some the QR code was too big to fit under the scanner and was not scale-able.

Had many a security person and gate staff trying to pinch it to make it smaller with no joy.

They may have corrected that now though. I now use my phone or print it off.

Another point is to set your device on maximum brightness, makes it easier to get the QR Code to read.

Or you could just print it out novelty size :D
