Hi All, Does anyone have any recommendations for someone to remove an existing fireplace, enlarge and square off the opening, to accommodate a free standing stove (non boiler).

If you know of anyone (especially if you got this work done yourself) PM me details.

Keith o'brien from o&o construction is the lad we use all the time for stoves and fireplaces. A quick Google will give you the number

I got two fireplaces removed and the opes made bigger to have stoves inserted.

(Size of new opening depended on construction of original fireplace, may not be possible to go as large as you expect but will be more than adequate to fit stove.)

Very good job, quick and tidy and looks very well.

PM if you want the guys numbers. I could send you on photos if you'd like.
