Picking up rte non digital

    If i use an old aerial would i still pick.up rte for match on sunday?

    Ill be outdoors all day.but have tv power etc sorted

    Nope. Analogue terrestrial transmissions ceased a couple of years back.

    Aread you sure your TV doesn't have a digital tuner? You can pick up digital with a small aeriel most places.

    If you have a TV or set top box that can decode the Saorview signal, otherwise no.

    Old or new aerials make no difference - that "digital aerial" sales pitch was more or less a con.

    It's the receiver that counts, and the change is the equivalent of trying to play a CD on a record player.

    If the TV picks up a signal indoors then you can run a coax out the window from a room socket or Sky box, or else use a rabbit ears (if the signal is decent).

    I assume it'll also be on the RTE player, so that might be an option if you have a laptop ?
